Summary of the Position:

We are seeking an Associate Director Capital Projects to join the Operations Finance team located in Gaithersburg, MD. As a member of our Operations Finance team, you will report to the Sr. Director, Operations Finance.  This role will manage and provide support capital projects and be responsible for the decision support, forecasting, and contract review activities.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Drive the annual budget and forecasting process by working with project leads, department heads and business leaders across the Company.
• Build partnerships with key stakeholders, provide insights and financial support
• Implement timely Budget Variance Analysis reporting adding both qualitative and quantitative insights.
• Support the strategic long-range plan by providing the capital requirements and financial impact of the Company’s strategies and initiatives.
• Support project management contract negotiations and participate in strategic discussions on network operations and long-term capital strategy.
• Develop management reporting and commentary that provides senior leaders with timely insights into trends, operational results, and variances.
• Work with the business and IT teams to enhance ERP and other financial systems functionality to drive transparency and integration of the capital project spending.
• Prepare financial analysis of various business scenarios on an ad hoc basis.
• Ability to be onsite and travel to business plants, as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• BA or BS degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 8+ years finance experience including 3+ years with a Big 4 Audit Firm.
• Experience working in global high growth companies as plus.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX is required.
• Background in capital project analysis and experience providing detailed financial modeling preferred.
