We have immediate need for an Associate Procurement Analyst to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. You will be learning approaches to objectives, learning to understand and apply procurement principles, concepts, and practices.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

Under close supervision, the Associate Procurement Analyst performs entry-level professional assignments and follows established policies. This position requires some professional judgment and a limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. A basic understanding of cost accounting principles is a plus for this individual in order to develop Price/Cost Analysis (P/CA) capabilities, support customer proposal activities, and assist accounts payable as necessary.


90% - Performs fundamental procurement activities including acquisition of materials, components and services at reasonable and competitive prices, which meet schedule, safety and quality standards. Creates case files and performs post purchase order administration (i.e. hardware follow-up, internal communication with program customers, receipt/stocking related effort).


5% - Performs price/cost analysis.


5% - Provides proposal support.


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or an appropriate discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Must be capable to develop a high level of understanding in all business matters related to the position, and have the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, internal to the company and external to suppliers and customers, alike.


Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Excellent knowledge and capability in the use MS Office suite required.


Good problem resolution skills are required. Must be able to travel domestically.


Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
