SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Projects, the Project Engineering - Controls is responsible for supporting Project Managers with the controls design and input on selection of devices, refinement of network topology, development of functional specification, system safety design, and supervision of software development for Cimcorp/Muratec’s automation equipment projects. This includes communicating with internal departments and with customers to obtain, analyze and implement solutions relating to the automation equipment systems controls. Responsibilities will cover the controls requirements of the entire process, starting from concept to final implementation. In addition, responsibilities will span multiple projects at different phases while working under minimal supervision. Limited travel to customer sites may be required to participate in project meetings with the customer.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree in Software Engineering, Mechatronics or related field; Two (2) or more years’ experience working in an industrial / engineering / automation industry in a development and integration capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
TRAVEL
This position is up to 30% travel including domestic and international. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. Must have or be eligible to obtain a passport for international travel.
