Job Summary
Assist in purchasing commodity products, medical equipment, and supplies. Responsible for supporting all aspects of daily order management. Has two direct reports who are assembly workers.

Primary Duties

  • Assist in managing and maintaining inventory at the Cinder Bed Road location and any other assigned warehouses.

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day production operation and requirements of projects by monitoring pickups, deliveries, daily throughput, and productivity levels for all assigned staff.

  • Meet or exceed budget and financial objectives for assigned programs by for favorable pricing and delivery of items.

  • Meet or exceed delivery timetables by coordinating material delivery and set-up/installation; assist with emergency deliveries.

  • Meet or exceed requests for information by providing timely reporting on material planning, open orders and metrics.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Answer requests for customer service assistance in a timely and efficient way: order processing, quotes, returns, billing resolution.

  • Maintain updated pricing on purchased items and assist in the repricing of FRSS and CAPCA kits on the Federal Procurement List (PL).

  • Consult with customer production lines and manufacturing groups to understand demand forecasts; schedule material lots and review pricing.

  • Serve as a liaison between the customer and supplier for product sourcing.

  • Enter inventory, purchasing, and QC data into Fishbowl or other applicable 3PL and customer systems.

  • Asist in third party vendor and item set-up and in qualifying new suppliers.

  • Serve as a liaison for marines to negotiate pricing for beneficial supplier agreements.

  • Report on material planning, open orders, metrics, etc.

  • Work closely with MARCORSYSCOM and marines on product delivery and pricing.

  • Assist in completing quarterly inventory audits.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, social services, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum one year experience working with people with disabilities required.

  • Minimum one year inventory experience preferred.

  • Experience with procuring medical supplies preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work well with people internally and externally and at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Ability to become proficient with company specific programs and software.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and able to carry out work with the highest levels of accuracy.

  • A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure while working on multiple tasks and projects.
