Assistant Plating / Paint Supervisor

Schedule:
Full Time: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday – Friday and Overtime as needed
Position Summary:
Oversee and provide daily work schedules, react to production requirements, and oversee problems occurred during shift hours. Strive to meet goals for weekly and monthly productivity. Maintain quality of product by ensuring cross training, and scheduling bath maintenance while always ensuring high performance and production.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform job related duties as needed or in the absence of the Metal Finishing Manager (5.3.1.2.)
- Responsible for all authorized functions as specified in department manual
- Assist Department Manager, by enforcing department policies and administration of employee reviews and discipline
- Oversee problems occurred during shift hours, maintain neat and orderly work areas, and provide daily work schedules to employees, establish delivery if needed
- React to production requirements and changes and enforce quality procedures
- Devise, implement and update training procedures and records
- Receive, order, operating supplies, chemicals, responsible for LECO P/N Label 014-041 R8.5.4
- Responsible for identifying, collecting, completion, filing, storing, maintaining, and disposal of items mentioned in Retention Guide 7.5.2 of the Metal Finishing Department Manual
- Review changes to controlled documents and all manuals within Metal Finishing
- Implement Quality Management Plan and react to out-of-control conditions specified in the LECO Quality Management Plan and initiate action to prevent the occurrence of product non-conformity
- Initiate, recommend, provide, and verify solutions through designated channels
- Control further processing of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected and notify Department Manager of all problems that occur
- Stop production if non-conform material percentage exceeds acceptable rate
- Electronically correct LECO parts if blueprint and Router Sheet do not match
- Responsible for getting ECO changes on blueprints when needed and Chemical Add Slip R9.1.1.6
- Assist in any quality test required and in maintaining Risk Register
Position Requirements:
- Typing and Clerical skills, Organizational skills, Mathematical aptitude
- Basic Quality Skills (LECO-instructed), Cyanide Training (LECO-instructed), Blueprint reading (may take Blueprint Reading Class - LECO instructed), Right-To-Know Training
- Oracle- Bills of Material; LECO Inventory; LECO WIP; Purchasing Receiver and Purchasing Requestor
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Access (on-the-job training is acceptable)
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
