We are seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to join our team at our Fort Worth, TX facility. The Assistant Plant Manager will oversee all areas and shifts of operation and ensure customer objectives and profitability goals are being met or exceeded, as well as employee safety and wellbeing.
§ Distributes picks and coordinates material flow to production.
§ Oversees all SAP movements and ensures all material is being scanned properly.
§ Follows up with materials manager as to any inventory discrepancies.
§ Collects materials data for the continuous improvement meetings.
§ Ensures inventory accuracy to 95%.
§ Oversees activities and responsibilities of all Distribution, Shipping and Receiving personnel.
§ Coordinates daily workload between the available resources.
§ Ensures all procedures are followed by all Distribution personnel.
§ Performs or reviews random audits of staging locations, ensuring they are done.
§ Ensures adequate training of new employees, retraining and cross-training existing personnel to allow for a flexible workforce and opportunities for advancement.
§ Issues warning notices to direct reports for any rule’s violations.
§ Coordinates vacations of direct reports.
§ Performs other duties as assigned.
SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS (List specific skills required but not defined in Dimensions)
§ College Diploma or equivalent work experience.
§ Good communication, instruction and leadership skills to direct the work of others
§ Ability to effectively use all relevant systems in the warehouse, programs and equipment
§ 2 years of leadership experience
§ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
§ Develop and implement the use of processes and procedures
