Job Overview:

JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Manager will assume responsibilities for supporting portfolio strategy and business development with relation to the generic product pipeline at Amneal. Manage and maintain an accurate log of product pipeline-related files and presentations, competitive landscape information, BD-  related market research, and provide monthly and quarterly update of the information as required. Engage with internal and external stakeholders appropriately to be a central resource for managing all queries related to the activities above.

Essential Functions

  • Portfolio MIS and Analytics:
    • Update Amneal’s global portfolio database quarterly by collaborating with CFTs (IP, Reg, PMs) and using databases like IMS, Newport, evaluate pharma, CapIQ etc.
    • Sales and marketing support, by providing periodic current portfolio updates on upcoming launches, new product additions, business cases, competitive information, etc.
    • Perform portfolio analytics to assess the overall standing of the current development portfolio and provide insight form the data to support portfolio decisions. 
    • Monitor/Track market dynamics of the current development portfolio in order to reflect changes in current strategy to suit the present market situation.
  • API Selection:
    •  Analyze new API opportunities by continuously studying the phase III development pipeline of top brand companies
    •  Conduct cross-functional diligence b/w IP, R&D & Regulatory
    •  Manage API portfolio review and prioritization process
    •  Evaluate APIs in new areas of expansion like Oncology, Sterile, etc.
  • New Product Selection: Research and evaluate identified new product opportunities for generic product development and prepare a discussion document capturing business rationale, competitive landscape, regulatory strategy etc.
  • New Markets Evaluation : Provide an initial overview of the new markets under evaluation by performing secondary research.
  • Project Code Management: Drive and manage internal project code system to account for project level expenses and perform analytics on total spend against the R&D deliverables. 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Special Management projects like regular updates on new competition in the existing and upcoming projects ; Ophthalmic model in India
  • Portfolio Book Update every two months

Education

  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry - Required
  • Master Degree (MBA) -Preferred

Work Experience

  • 3 years or more experience as a business analyst or project manager is preferred - Required
