ESTIMATING ASSISTANT
We are partnered with a commercial general contractor who is looking to add an Estimating Assistant to their team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate construction bid documents using BuildingConnected
• Receive, organise, and prepare subcontractor bid documents for estimator review
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors to support timely receipt of bids
• Follow up with subcontractors to ensure adequate bid coverage and compile proposals for client submission
• Organise all bid documents in line with internal bidding procedures
• Produce and maintain proposal directories and reporting for all bids
• Update and maintain data within the BuildingConnected database
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date subcontractor contact information
Skills & Requirements:
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail with problem-solving ability and the capacity to meet deadlines
• Experience with estimating software required; BuildingConnected preferred
• Highly organised self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
