As part of Unilever’s new Compass Organization, Beauty & Wellbeing (B&W) is a recently formed Business Group, representing approximately 20% of global turnover. B&W is home to some of Unilever’s most exciting categories including Skin Care, Hair Care, Prestige and Vitamins, Minerals & Supplements (VMS), with brands including Dove, Sunsilk, Clear, Vaseline, Dermalogica, Ren and OLLY in its portfolio.

This position will be responsible for the execution and coordination of the Beauty & Wellbeing communications department initiatives, activities and events related to media relations, employee communications and external affairs.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

  • Support the implementation and management of a comprehensive internal communications strategy
  • Create and build content for internal communications channels and external social media channels
  • Manage distribution lists and databases for employee communications, media relations and external affairs activities
  • Support the design and execution of internal events, ranging from town halls to internal branding and leadership events
  • Support all employee organizational announcements
  • Organization of the internal communications editorial calendar
  • Assist with the development of PR tools and assets, including PR strategies, press releases and Q&As
  • Partner with Senior Manager to create a PR cadence to identify appropriate pitch angles to support product launches and newsworthy press hooks
  • Lead the development and maintenance of a communications dashboard to track KPIs for various department programs
  • Assist team in tracking expenses against department budget
  • Process purchase orders and reconcile within financial management system
  • Help prepare presentations and reports for team activities as needed
  • Work with internal teams and external agencies to deliver multiple overlapping activities in a fast-paced environment

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in communications or marketing preferred
  • Outstanding interpersonal and collaboration skills required
  • Excellent writing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable working in a small team environment where self-sufficiency is essential
  • People skills to engage stakeholders at all levels and operate successfully within a global matrix organization
  • A team player who has a growth mindset and a spirit of service
  • Experience with email distribution programs
  • Invoice and budget management skills
  • Temperament to remain calm when under tight timelines
  • Ability to be flexible in prioritizing and multi-tasking
  • Experience with SharePoint maintenance and administration preferred
