Assistant Branch Manager Position Summary

Middlesex Federal Savings is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager, primarily responsible for the daily operations of the branch in addition to aiding in the sales efforts of the branch.

Assistant Branch Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Aids the Branch Manager in establishing goals for the branch and tracking branch sales efforts
  • Manages vault cash including cash orders/shipments, retrieving/disbursing cash to the tellers, maintains cash limits, and conducts vault audits
  • Maintains the branch logs/records (CTR logs, item processing logs, audit logs, etc.)
  • Makes decisions within policy and procedure when presented with questions from staff
  • Assumes the role of Branch Manager when the Branch Manager is out of the office
  • Develops and delivers Bank product and services training
  • Keeps abreast of computer software and programs used by the Bank, as well as maintaining awareness of other products used by financial institutions
  • Maintain working knowledge of legal principles and documents related to job performance
  • Performs other operational duties as requested

Assistant Branch Manager Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma and two years’ experience with personnel supervision or experience commensurate with same; Associate’s Degree a plus
  • Four years’ proven knowledge in teller and customer service operations
  • Proven sales, customer service, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills required
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to meet with clients and tour properties
  • Demonstrates professional, positive and productive attitude with clients and colleagues; acts in a manner consistent with the Bank’s motto, “We’re here to help”.
