Job Title: Assembly Technician

Reports to: Lead

Position Objective: Complete assembly tasks to meet customer expectations, quality standards and on time delivery requirements.

Essential Functions

• Set-up and complete tasks per the job order
• Use various hand tools (manual or power) in a safe manner to complete assembly tasks
• Review your work and ensure it meets the customer requirements and department standards
• Package product for shipment
• Complete all required production paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
• Participate in and support continuous improvement projects
• Cross training available in CNC machining, industrial painting and printing (silk screen or pad print)

Requirements

Skills

• Ability to complete assigned functions in a timely manner
• Able to read English and write on work orders and job instructions
• Ability to apply intermediate math skill and knowledge of metric and standard conversions
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of power and manual tools and ability to apply knowledge when completing job order
• Ability to operate with competing demands ensuring customer satisfaction (internal and external)

Educational

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Previous industrial manufacturing experience is preferred

Physical

• Regularly and routinely required to use manual dexterity of hands and fingers in repetitive motions
• Frequently required to walk, stand and sit
• Regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently push or pull carts
• Regularly and consistently required to use hand or power tools
• Regularly and consistently required to use PPE which may include safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, full face shield, lab coat, other protection deemed necessary for assigned tasks
• Regularly and consistently required to use or be exposed to adhesives, lubricants, solvents, cleansers, etc.
• May be exposed to chemicals, dust, debris (aluminum, plastic, polyester)
