MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Health and Safety: - Follow all Company Safety Policies and Procedures, as well as the safety requirements of our customers where applicable. Immediate reporting of any safety violations or concerns.
- Ensure all applicable regulatory standards are met with regards to loss prevention, accident investigation, OSHA compliance.
- Works with team members to actively improve safety of the plant.
- Ensures that work area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous or hazardous material.
- Follow good manufacturing practices for safety and ergonomics.
- Ensure safety action items are completed accurately and timely.
Quality: - Follow SOPs and ensure all products are manufactured to specifications.
- Assists management in development of quality processes and work instructions.
- Work with team members to identify root cause to failures and implementation of corrective actions.
- Works in accordance with product specification to ensure minimization of defects. Fixes defects and reports issues if occurs.
Productivity: - Perform assembly of conveyor systems including but not limited to: conveyors, devices, covers, guards, supports, and other equipment the company designs and sells.
- Work with team to complete projects in accordance to required delivery dates from master production schedule.
- Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports.
- Properly label, pack, palletize and prepare orders for shipments.
- Perform installation, repair and inspection of products as required.
- Communicating with your team lead to resolve any issues that impact the timing or quality of a product.
- Travel as required for project installations.
- Assisting in the fabrication department as required.
- Maintain a positive attitude at work and in vendors locations.
- Cross functional training within team to help support when needed.
- Keep a clean work area.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Continuous Improvement: - Participates in ABM initiatives and activities. (5S events, Kaizen events, weekly CIP meetings, problem solving, improvement projects, etc.)
- Work with team members to provide input to improve process and workspaces.
- Share ideas with Team Leader and managers to improve processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - High School Education or GED equivalent
- 5+ years mechanical experience
- 5+ years in manufacturing or automotive industry
- 1+ year operating a forklift
- 5+ years using power tool and hand tools. i.e., drills, saws, screw drivers, etc.
- Ability to perform basic math: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions, decimals
- Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16”
- Experience working in a project-oriented environment.
- Ability to work in a team and across different departments.
