Assembly Technician (Levels II–V)

Location: Wolcott, IN
Reports to: Plant Manager


We are seeking Assembly Technicians across multiple levels (II–V) to support the manufacturing, assembly, calibration, and testing of our products. This progression role offers growth from entry-level assembly to advanced fabrication and full product ownership.

Assembly II (Entry-Level)

Focus: Basic assembly operations

  • Perform routine assembly using written instructions or samples 
  • Assemble small components (screws, clips, springs, etc.) 
  • Operate simple machines and perform basic soldering 
  • Inspect parts, report defects, and maintain work area 
  • Track production output and meet performance targets 

What it takes:

  • 2–3 months to proficiency 
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity 

Assembly III (Intermediate)

Focus: Advanced assembly & testing

  • Perform complex assembly and calibration tasks 
  • Interpret product variations and configurations 
  • Conduct leak testing and Hi-Pot testing 
  • Package and label finished goods 
  • Use hand and power tools with greater precision 

What it takes:

  • 3–6 months to proficiency 
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and troubleshoot minor issues 

Assembly IV (Advanced)

Focus: Fabrication & system-level assembly

  • Read prints and engineering instructions 
  • Assemble and fill thermal/capillary systems 
  • Perform calibration, leak testing, and adjustments 
  • Work with welding and handle specialized materials 
  • Follow strict safety protocols for hazardous materials 

What it takes:

  • 9–12 months to proficiency 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills (soldering, brazing) 

Assembly V (Expert Level)

Focus: Full product ownership & complex builds

  • Independently manage low-volume, high-variation orders 
  • Perform full fabrication, assembly, calibration, testing, and packaging 
  • Work with advanced tools (torches, induction heating, etc.) 
  • Handle volatile materials in controlled environments 
  • Ensure product quality from start to finish 

What it takes:

  • 3–5 years to mastery 
  • Deep product knowledge and high-level mechanical expertise

Requirements

 Work Environment & Physical Requirements (All Levels)

  • Fast-paced, clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment 
  • Frequent standing, walking, and repetitive hand movements 
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs and perform detailed manual work
