Job Overview:

The Applied Electromagnetics Division Office Applied Research Associates, Inc. in Lafayette, CO is seeking an Assembly Technician to assist in the assembly of printed circuits, coaxial cables, composite layups, and mechanical fixtures for various RF products. This technician will also perform small- and large-scale assembly tasks with relatively close supervision and instruction. They will specialize in circuit components soldering, bonding of multi-layer circuit boards, fiber glass wet lay ups, and wood/metal working. Candidate should be able to work from rough sketches, perform repetitive assembly operations under a microscope, and possess a strong mechanical ability and have an eye for detail and quality.

 

Specific Duties Include for the Assembly Technician: 

  • Populating Circuit Boards with Components
  • Bonding Multi-Layer Circuit Boards
  • Connectorizing Cables
  • Fiber Glass Lay Ups
  • Woodworking
  • Metalworking

 Required Qualifications for an Assembly Technician:

  • High diploma or GED
  • required and six months to one year experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associates degree
