Temp to Hire

Monday through Friday / 7am-3:30pm

$22 an hour

A company in Laguna Niguel is seeking Production/Assembly Tech for fiber optic cable assemblies. The position involves producing customized fiber optic cable assemblies for their aerospace industrial and broadcast customers. ***Some manufacturing experience is preferred. The company will train on specific equipment and processes. ***

The hours are 7 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday). This is a temp-to-hire position and the starting pay is $22/hour.

Production Operator Responsibilities:

• Preparing the work area
• Verifying materials received with the work order
• Measuring, cutting, and stripping the fiber cable
• Terminating the fiber to the connector with epoxy
• Heating and curing the connection
• Crimping, polishing (hand and/or machine)
• Optical testing
• Heat shrinking/labeling, and packaging

Production Operator Requirements:

• Minimum Education: high school diploma or GED
• Read, write, and speak English
• Ability to read engineering drawings, work orders, and written procedures
• Steady and precise hands, excellent vision, concentration, patience, and hand-eye coordination.
• Previous fiber optic cable terminations and assemblies experience is desirable but not required
