Shift Hours:  Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm

Position Summary

This position is accountable for overseeing the scheduling, production, material flow and quality of product. The supervisor is responsible for administering organizational policies and procedures at the department level and for supervising daily assembly operations and establishing work priorities to meet internal and external customer commitments. In collaboration with the Assembly Manager, the incumbent will establish shift objectives to support the division’s goals and objectives and review this performance plan. The line supervisor is responsible for ensuring that customer products meet or exceed quality standards and initiate actions necessary to maintain these standards.  Shares and models Pinnacle Core Values - Customer Focused / Team Player / Positive Attitude / Accountable & Dependable / Do the Right Thing. 

Responsibilities

  • Support organizational goals through safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Coach, mentor and train non-exempt production employees to ensure they meet Pinnacle’s production and quality standards.
  • Evaluate labor and assembly capacity to accommodate customer demand, make changes if necessary.
  • Establish an environment of employee recognition, accountability, and responsibility in support of organizational goals.
  • Consistent review of labor/assembly line utilization to optimize productivity and manage cost.
  • Work directly with the Assembly Manager to improve manufacturing processes to accommodate fluctuations in demand. 
  • Partner with the Assembly Manager to create and report on assembly metrics.  
  • Responsible for performing to established targets on developed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Promotes a safe culture, the implementation of safe work practices, and involvement in the safety committee ensuring safety of employees and visitors within company
  • Monitors work area and employees’ performance for adherence to safety procedures, work restrictions, cleanliness and potential hazards
  • Implements and monitors continuous quality improvement activities including waste and cost reduction, equipment and tool efficiencies and labor planning
  • Ensures production methods result in quality products; assist in root cause and corrective action activities in partnership with engineering, assembly manager, and quality specialist.
  • Partner with Assembly Planner to execute work orders by planned start and end dates to drive on-time delivery to customers.   Update work hours by assembly line in planning spreadsheets for daily performance reporting.
  • Other duties and projects assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years’ work experience in assembly or manufacturing supervision.
  • Experience providing training and work direction to staff
  • Bilingual (Spanish) speaking skills a strong plus
  •  Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing Environment Customer Focus – Maintaining awareness of and seeking to meet of the needs and wants of the customer
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Leadership Orientation – Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop and mentor others within the Operations Department
  • Adaptability – Responds effectively to changes in situation or information
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills; ERP systems
  • Strong team leadership, team building and facilitation skills

  • Must be legally authorized to work in US

 Reporting Relationship

  • Reports to Assembly and Facilities Manager

 Working Conditions

Work is typically performed in a factory environment.  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. May be required to work more hours than normal during a regular workweek depending on workload and deadline requirements.
