Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Assembly Operator.Must be open to working all 3 shifts: 7am-3:30pm, 4pm-12:30am, 10:30pm-7amThe hourly rate for this position is $29.06 per hour per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do:

Primary Function:Performs all duties necessary to produce standard hose or coupling assemblies. Essential Functions:• Active involvement in creating a safe work place and following safety best practices.• Work on cross functional Lean/Continuous Improvement Teams to improve manufacturing process efficiency and customer quality and delivery performance.• Assemble products using machines and hand tools.• Test assemblies using test machinery.• Inspection of parts using fixtures, gages, and other inspection equipment.• Extensive use of computers to view and edit manufacturing documents, transact inventory, and enter/track/maintain/analyze production data.• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:• Minimum education of a high school diploma or GED completion required.• Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment required.• Ability to read blueprints and gauges, micrometers, and other forms of measurement.• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Jackson area (50 miles) will be considered for this position.Preferred:• Associates Degree or higher from an accredited institution preferred.• Experience with production and inventory tracking software preferred.• Demonstrated aptitude using computers, math, and blueprint reading skills.
