Job Summary:

We are seeking a mechanically inclined Assembly Mechanic to join a growing manufacturing team in Brooklyn Park, MN. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with tools, machinery, engines, or mechanical systems—whether from manufacturing, automotive, diesel, equipment repair, or hands-on technical backgrounds. You will assemble high-quality products safely and efficiently by following company procedures, engineering drawings, and quality standards. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of tools and components are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong focus on safety in all daily activities.

• Assemble components and systems according to engineering drawings and work instructions.

• Use a variety of mechanical tools, torque tools, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and metric measurements.

• Complete accurate electronic and manual documentation related to production and quality.

• Identify, document, and communicate assembly or quality issues; assist in troubleshooting and implementing solutions.

• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and quality goals.

• Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision once trained.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on mechanical experience (manufacturing, automotive, diesel, equipment repair, or similar), or completion of a technical/trade school program in a mechanical or manufacturing-related field.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings.

• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and hoists (training provided if needed).

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 35 lbs frequently.

• Ability to stand and work for 8-hour shifts with minimal breaks.

• Ability to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, twist, and work in tight or awkward spaces.

• Ability to work at various heights, including climbing on equipment, machines, ladders, and step stools.

• Work in environments with fluctuating temperatures.

• Perform repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, and rotational motions.

• Fine motor skills required for detailed and precision work.

• Regular use of mechanical hand tools including wrenches, drills, cutters, tie wrap guns, pneumatic and vibratory tools, and manual torque tools (must be able to torque up to 250 Newton meters or 185 foot pounds).

• Required PPE includes hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel toe/metatarsal footwear; dust masks as needed.
