Assembler II

Assembler II operates and uses hand tools, power tools, tape measure, and various degrees of torque to complete complex assembly of fabricated metal tanks while prioritizing safety and quality excellence. Reporting to the Finish Supervisor, the Assembler II performs visual inspections to verify quality, identify and resolve issues, and perform any necessary adjustments and rework, prior to shipment.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Operates and uses hand tools, power tools, tape measure, and various degrees oftorque to ensure accurate and complete assembly of tanks while prioritizing safety andquality excellence.

Reads and interprets instructions, blueprints, or other schematics by installing, aligning,securing, and adjusting hardware and other components according to quality standardsand/or customer specifications.

Collaborates effectively with senior peers while also verifying work instructions to ensureproper tools for assembly.

Identifies and resolves issues such as surface defects (e.g., rust, overspray, scratches)or missing components.

Performs visual inspections prior to shipment to verify quality, dimensional accuracy, andcomponent placement.

Performs adjustments and rework, as necessary.

Escalates critical or urgent issues to direct supervisor without delay.

Maintains accurate production records and documentation (e.g., job, quantity).

Operates and uses motorized pallet jack to maneuver tanks throughout the finishingprocess.

Performs routine cleaning and basic maintenance of workstation, tools, and assemblyequipment.

Supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Serves as backup Finisher I on paint line by preparing, sanding, cleaning, drying,loading, unloading, handling, and inspecting parts throughout the finishing process, asbusiness needs require.

• Ability, knowledge, and skill to prioritize safety while using and operating powered industrial trucks including motorized pallet jacks.
• Ability, knowledge, and skill to demonstrate professionalism and use respectful communication with employees at all levels within the organization.
• Ability and willingness to comply with all company policies, processes, and procedures including, but not limited to safety and code of conduct.
• Ability and skill to fluently speak, read, write, and understand English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• One (1) year previous work experience in manufacturing, assembly, or related field required.
• Previous experience reading and interpreting blueprints or schematics, taking accurate measurements, using hand tools, and operating power tools required.

Physical Demands:

Constant standing, bending, and stooping with repetitious hand and finger movements to use and operate hand and power tools with various degrees of torque; visual acuity and spatial recognition to read schematics, take accurate measurements, and inspect and assemble fabricated metal tanks to specifications; visual acuity and repetitious hand and finger movement to use and operate motorized pallet jacks; detect, perceive, identify, observe,

inspect, and assess assembly functions; express and exchange information in-person and with documentation. Constant moving/traversing and positioning self to reach overhead and at or below the shoulder; move and position objects up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

Constantly works in manufacturing setting on the shop floor with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and noise levels at or above 100 decibels on average. Working on the shop floor requires safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear while working on the paint line requires additional personal protective equipment including, but not limited to respiratory protection.
