Job Description:

Position Responsibilities

  • Supports the Assembly Leader by taking on specific duties to support the Assembly Line

  • Coordinates cross training of assembly line products

  • Communicates with Inventory and Production Leader on potential part shortages & ensures follow through with planning/procurement team to secure parts in house

  • Leads daily touch meeting and maintains visual daily assembly status board

Position Tasks

Prepares work schedules and assigns workers production line tasks Establishes line break & lunch times with team Ensures assembly line has proper kit out the day prior and may be required to kit parts in Inventory Ensures line is prepped the day before Writes NCRS, moving through investigation Modifies work instructions as necessary Optimizes production line efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality Identifies and resolves production line problems in a timely manner. Maintains a fully operational, safe, and tidy work environment. Identifies improvement opportunities for existing assembly line products Coordinates end line product to shipping department Watches min/max levels of assembly line products and makes recommendations to adjust line quantities Provides emergency support to keep line running, if a team member & back- ups are unavailable or if someone needs a break Is committed to learning and developing skillsets in all phases of assembly & testing of assembly line products Submits MRO requests for tools needed Supports new product integrations into the Assembly line (Line balancing activities, documentation support) Assists in Kaizen and 7s activities. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Completion of Assembler Training period, or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and/or operate equipment such as oscilloscopes, soldering tools and meters.

Ability to read and comprehend documents such as assembly instructions, schematics, assembly drawings, general technical procedures or operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively one-on-one or before small groups.
