Assembly Department Manager
to oversee daily assembly operations, production scheduling, and team development. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring production goals are achieved while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
**Assembly Department Manager
**Job Duties:
- Lead and oversee daily operations within the assembly department.
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer and business demands.
- Monitor production performance and adjust schedules as needed to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals.
- Supervise, coach, train, and develop assembly team members and departmental leaders.
- Oversee staffing levels, shift coverage, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
- Promote and maintain a strong culture of workplace safety.
- Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Human Resources, and other departments to improve processes and resolve issues.
- Analyze production metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support employee engagement and development.
- Assist with troubleshooting production, process, and equipment-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Pay/Benefits:
- $55,000 - $65,000 per year (based on experience)

Schedule:
- 1st Shift available
- Monday - Friday
- 7:30am-4:30pm
- 1-hour lunch break
Requirements:
- 5+ years of manufacturing or production experience preferred.
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience managing production schedules and meeting operational goals.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
- Ability to build strong relationships across departments and lead through change.
