Assembly Department Manager – Cabinets & Store Fixtures
We are seeking an experienced Assembly Department Manager to oversee our cabinet and retail fixture assembly operations. This position will manage approximately 40 employees in a fast-paced custom manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on cabinet manufacturing experience, and the ability to organize production efficiently while maintaining quality and schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the Assembly Department
- Supervise approximately 40 assembly employees
- Read and interpret production drawings and shop drawings
- Set up and organize jobs for assembly teams
- Coordinate workflow to ensure production schedules are met
- Monitor quality, productivity, and employee performance
- Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Production teams
- Ensure safe work practices and maintain an organized work environment
- Assist with training and developing employees
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of management or supervisory experience in cabinet manufacturing, millwork, or store fixture production
- Strong knowledge of cabinet construction and assembly processes
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints
- Experience managing employees in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift experience is a plus
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed
