Pay Range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

We are seeking an Assembly and Industrial Painting Technician to support manufacturing by applying Xylan coating (a fluoropolymer coating used to prevent corrosion and increase the life of parts) to machined and assembled parts. This position will also be cross-trained and will support assembly at Air Squared as required.

Assembly and Industrial Painting Technician Job Responsibilities: 

• Ensure parts are thoroughly cleaned and properly masked before applying Xylan coating
• Apply Xylan coating and cure in ovens 
• Measure coating thickness as required
• Test for quality of coating once applied 
• Support assembly cells on the production floor as needed
• Build Scroll compressors, vacuum pumps, and expanders per written instructions and engineering drawings with close supervision 
• Dismantle compressors, vacuum pumps, and expanders per written instructions and engineering drawings
• Work individually and in team assembly cells
• Read work orders to determine work instructions and jobs to be completed
• Ensure work area is clean, accessible, organized, and safe
• Assist with packaging and preparing product for shipment
• Assist with end of year physical inventory count
• Perform other tasks as assigned
• Regularly lift 30 lbs. of raw materials or machine parts with or without accommodation
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Assembly and Industrial Painting Technician Qualifications:

• MUST SUBMIT RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED 
• High school diploma or GED (required)
• 1-year experience in a mechanical assembly environment (preferred) 
• Experience applying Xylan or other fluoropolymer coating (preferred) 

Employment with Air Squared is contingent on passing a statewide background check, drug screening (for substances illegal in the state of Colorado), and employment verification through E-Verify
