POSITION PURPOSE:
To assemble finished product using sub-assemblies, parts, laser marking, and fasteners. Shipping, receiving, tumbling, and assembly
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Checks customer specification sheets to determine required assembly, exterior finish on product, and any special options.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and sub-assemblies, per customer order.
- Ensures that established safety procedures are always followed.
- Provides input on changes to standard operating procedures.
- Maintains assigned equipment to standard.
- Prepares product for shipping.
- Heat treat parts.
- Conform to the company quality system procedures as documented.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma or GED.
SKILLS ABILITIES:
Knowledge of hand tools, basic understanding of manual lathes and mills, welding, blueprint reading/measurements and math
- Strong PC and computer software experience
- Microsoft word, outlook, excel
- Previous inventory experience helpful.
- Has good attention to detail, record-keeping skills, organization.
- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Must exhibit an ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, multitask.
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Preference given to those with Job Boss experience.
- Forklift experience helpful.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Lift up to 75 pounds.
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
