What You’ll Do
The Assembler/Builder & Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting both production and warehouse operations by assembling door units and moving materials.
assisting the Shipping Supervisor with organizing and directing all outbound warehousing functions while ensuring safety, efficiency and quality, according to company policies. This role is responsible for coordinating the loading and routing of each day’s production onto the appropriate truck for the next morning’s delivery.
Location: 2689 US-522, Selinsgrove, PA 17870
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm, overtime as needed
Starting Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Responsibilities
· Responsible for building door units by reading and interpreting production tickets to ensure each unit is assembled accurately to customer specifications and quality standards
· Assemble door components using pneumatic, power, and hand tools safely and apply labels where necessary
· Read/interpret work orders to select the correct materials to move throughout the facility
· Provide safe operation of forklift throughout the facility
· Maintain a safe and clean working environment
· Help with door repairs and general housekeeping
· Maintain an adequate level of product and forklift knowledge
· Move components and materials safely and report issues to leadership
· Wear PPE such as composite/steel toed shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves (per job function), and high visibility clothing.
Qualifications
· Must be at least 18 Years Old
· Work safely and follow all plant rules
· Show initiative, be a self-starter
· Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner
· Ability to multi-task
· Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have end of shift flexibility
· Required to mount and dismount forklift multiple times per day
· Forklift knowledge and safety procedures
· Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
· Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service
· Ability to use an RF scanner
· Ability to use a pallet jack safely
· Read a tape measure and do basic math
· At least one year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
· At least one year of experience operating a forklift
There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:
· Stand for 8 - 10 hours straight
· Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
· Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 50-pounds)
· Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
· Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods
