💲 Pay: $16.50-$18.50 per hour

Job Overview

The assembler performs repetitive line-assembly operations to produce Body components or to assemble those components into a completed truck body/trailer. This position also requires the ability to read blueprints and work independently to meet quality and production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The innovative product line-up is prevalent in industries such as food & beverage, vending, propane, rental trucks, emergency & rescue, battery, oil & natural gas, and data storage. The company operates in 4 states with over 400 Mickey employees at these locations. 

What you’ll do:

  • Performs any fabrication type functions, using hand or power tools on the truck body or trailer.
  • Performs body work on box trucks or trailer bodies 
  • Operates both stationery and moving overhead cranes.
  • Installs lights and wiring.
  • Operates fork lift as required.
  • Operates saws as required.
  • Moves material with appropriate equipment throughout the work area as needed
  • Clean up work area daily
  • Operates any equipment needed to perform job.
  • Performs related duties as needed by supervision.

What we’re looking for: 

  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, achieve productivity goals, and be familiar with the quality standards 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions (Work Orders)
  • Must be able to read a tape measure
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude 
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions give, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneel
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
