Assembler/Packer

Position title: Assembler/Packer
Reports to: Department Supervisor
Supervises: N/A

Position summary:
Performs manual labor along a production line as well as pick and pack orders in a timely manner utilizing the least amount of time, motion, materials and space as possible. May perform minor repairs as necessary.

Duties and responsibilities:

Responsible for quality control and to make adjustments as needed in order to produce a product within specifications.
Must operate within standard operating procedures and safety rules and regulations.
Must be detailed oriented.
The ability to understand and follow instructions.
Maintain a clean work area.
Able to work with speed and accuracy.
The ability to communicate with other operators in a professional manner.
The ability to perform more than one operation along the assembly line.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift at least 20 pounds on a regular basis.
Accurately count materials and/or products.
Must follow all safety rules and regulations and standard operating procedures

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

Must have the ability to follow instructions.
Must have ability to understand written and verbal specifications and translate.
Can operate a variety of machines.

On the job training provided.
Must be considered LEGALLY BLIND
