Position Summary:

The Assembler Technician III is solely responsible for assembling, testing, and disassembling, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing intermediate to moderate level complexity mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic sub/top assemblies ensuring compliance with all requirements relating to quality, safety, workmanship, functionality, performance, regulatory and customer requirements. Follow and comply with documented work instructions, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, customer requirements, or other approved technical data in hard copy and electronic formats as needed to accomplish required tasks. Ability to use basic to moderately complex mechanical and electronic measuring and test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, scales, DMM, oscilloscope, frequency analyzer, etc. Set up and operate the required test equipment. Perform cleaning, abrasive blast, vibration table, dynamic balance, conformal coating, soldering, winding, safety wire, wire crimp, marking, etching, painting, and varnishing processes. Comply with chemical safety data sheet (SDS) guidelines, safety guidelines, and procedures. Ensure completeness and accuracy of work order documentation in accordance with procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

  • Team engagement to develop common goals that support production plans

  • Set up and operate test equipment as needed

  • Generate and maintain accurate records and proper documentation throughout the entire production cycle as required

  • Have knowledge and understanding of the use of various internal and external forms and documents as required

  • Provide input for continuous process improvement

  • Maintain open communication with peers, management, internal customers, and stakeholders at all times

  • Complete operations IAW work instruction requirements

  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of Ontic QMS

  • Maintain training/skills currency

  • Works under limited supervision

  • Compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations at all times

  • Learn new products and functions as required

  • Must have a positive attitude, willingness to learn

Job Requirements:

A successful candidate must have/be:

  • A high school diploma or GED

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a Twelfth Grade Level

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations

  • 2-4 years’ experience in the aerospace manufacturing environment assembling pumps, motor, valves, and actuators

  • Ability to assemble and perform test operations of Level II components, sub-assemblies, and top-level assemblies

  • Ability to read, interpret and understand electrical/hydraulic schematic

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and schematics, winding, soldering, crimping, varnishing, patting, riveting, rubber stamping, and spot welding

  • Read, interpret, and understand technical data in written, graphic form, and Wiring Diagram

  • Access, navigation, and use of electronic and physical databases

  • Able to perform routine maintenance of test equipment

  • Knowledge of basic skills:MS Office Suite- Excel, Word, Outlook

  • Must know how to use precision measuring equipment (Micrometer, Caliper, Scale)

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to component level

  • Must have knowledge using mechanical hand tools

  • Positive attitude and team player

  • Able to adapt job activity methods or processes to satisfy changing environment to meet daily deadlines

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
