Full-time onsite: Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

BAE Systems is seeking a candidate with electronic assembly experience, particularly this role should have working knowledge of conformal coat, and bonding materials. Candidate must be willing to step out of their comfort zone as this position will have have changing responsibilities.

As the conformal coat lead you will assist the manager/supervisor in developing strategies to meet requirements while managing targets associated with safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will be working closely with the manufacturing team on a daily basis.

Primary tasks will be:
  • To communicate goals, priorities, and overtime needs to the team
  • Answer moderate technical questions, system related questions
  • Assist with general manufacturing quality questions as they relate to the task at hand
  • Assemble electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, according to specific written instructions, diagrams, routing instructions and process sheets
  • Use appropriate tooling and machinery as provided
  • Verify and inspect products to ensure conformance with requirements and perform rework as needed
  • Act as an area mentor and support area cross-training efforts, participate in and support continuous improvement activities, perform other duties and responsibilities as required
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and proven leadership abilities

Required Skills and Education

  • The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience of assembly working in a circuit card manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency within Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Be able to use a computer to communicate with the team
  • Able to interpret and understand technical drawings
  • Ability to write detailed notes via communication cards clearly
  • Strong oral communication to share information with team members, support staff, and management
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred Skills and Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of inspection experience in a circuit card manufacturing environment
  • Ability to pass drug and background screenings
