Full-time onsite: Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

BAE Systems is seeking a candidate with electronic assembly and soldering experience, particularly this role should have a working knowledge of select and flow solder as well as AOI.

Successful candidates for this position must be proven strong communicators (both written and verbal), and willing to step out of their comfort zone. As the select and flow solder lead you will assist the manager/supervisor in developing strategies to meet requirements while managing targets associated with safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will be working closely with the manufacturing team on a daily basis. Primary tasks will be to communicate goals, priorities, and overtime needs to the team, as well as answer moderate technical questions, system related questions, and assist with general manufacturing quality questions as they relate to the task at hand.

Assemble and solder electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, according to specific written instructions, diagrams, routing instructions and process sheets. Use appropriate tooling and machinery as provided. Verify and inspect products to ensure conformance with requirements and perform rework as needed.

Act as an area mentor and support area cross-training efforts, participate in and support continuous improvement activities, perform other duties and responsibilities as required. Must possess a strong work ethic and proven leadership abilities.

Required Skills and Education

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience of assembly and solder experience in circuit card manufacturing,
  • J-STD 001 certified.
  • Understand how to identify electronic components and properly orient them into a circuit board according to polarity
  • Follow written instructions, interpret assembly drawings, work independently, and use clear written or oral communication to share information with team members, support staff, and management.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products and be able to use a computer to communicate with the team.
  • Able to interpret and understand the instructions on process sheets, prints or route cards
  • They should have experience with assembly, working in a circuit card manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills and Education

  • 3+ years of inspection experience in a circuit card manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to pass drug and background screenings.

Typically a High School Diploma and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
