Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  The incumbent may be required to perform all or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by business necessity.

1. Assemble medical device products utilizing hand tools, small power tools and other special equipment.
2. Rework product as required.
3. Ensure conformance to established written and oral procedures.
4. Perform inspection of own work and work of prior manufacturing step.
5. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
6. Properly fill out documentation records and accurately record information including quality statistics.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may be required to perform other non-essential functions. Employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties as requested by their supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum of five years assembly experience, preferably in a medical device company.
3. Previous microscope experience and attention to detail.
4. Basic math and English skills, both written and verbal.
5. Ability to work overtime when needed.
6. Ability to read and comprehend specific manufacturing documentation such as product drawings, bill of materials and product routings.
7. Previous manufacturing experience with Lean Principles desirable.
