Job Description
The Controls and Avionics (CAS) Aftermarket is seeking to add an Assembler to the team. The CAS Aftermarket team is responsible for maintaining, repairing, modifying, and overhauling customer owned flight control systems. Our experienced staff tackles unique problems that come back from the field and ensures that the customer gets quality returns in a timely manner. We do this through a collaborative and cross functional approach in order to provide overall customer satisfaction.
Within the aftermarket area of the Endicott Site, the team works a high variety of fielded product that is returned for modification or repair from the end user. The assembly team works directly with support staff and test personnel to diagnose issues within a product, perform repair, and return unit to customer in a timely and cost effective manner. Working in this environment provides a chance to work diverse product, continually learn, and allows for each day to be a new experience.
Typical requirements for daily activities include: assemble electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, kits and modules according to specific written instructions, wiring lists and diagrams, routing instructions and process sheets. Use appropriate tooling and machinery as provided. Verify and inspect products to ensure conformance with requirements and perform rework as needed. Perform mechanical and electrical assembly operations in the build of electronic assemblies using standard measuring tools and techniques, following work order instructions, policies and procedures. Perform soldering and inspection when/if certified. Cross-train in other assembly positions, participate and support continuous improvement activities, perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Skills and Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong work ethic
- Capability to read and perform assembly work as described in written instructions
- Ability to look through microscope for extended periods throughout the day
Preferred Skills and Education
- Manufacturing experience assembling product
- IPC J-STD-001 certification
- Experience with electronics
Typical Education and Experience
Typically a High School Diploma and 1 year work experience or equivalent experience
