Complete assemblies in assigned work center.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assemble according to specifications

  • Master basic skills and some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and / or equipment in area of expertise

  • Assist others during assembly of components in area of expertise

  • Teach other Assemblers proper techniques and procedures for mastered key sub-assemblies

  • Complete required assembly documentation, check sheets, ECRs, MRRs and material movement paperwork

  • Resolve routine questions and problems in mastered subassemblies. Refers more complex issues to Group Team Leads

  • Use material handling equipment to move parts, components, and subassemblies from one work or storage area to another as required

  • Perform all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area. Practices good housekeeping in work area

  • Assist more experienced Assemblers as assigned

  • May be asked to perform team support roles to assist Supervisor

  • Follow Safety, Health, Environment, and Hazardous Waste Rules and Responsibilities

  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Technical / vocational / or military training or related experience is helpful

  • Typically has 6 months mechanical experience with the possibility of gaining through on the job training

  • Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
