Job Overview:

 

Assembler

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

$17.68 an hour

$600 Retention Incentive

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

Entry level position.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Performs assembly/subassembly of various firearm components, measuring performance against standard measurement.

Demonstrates a thorough knowledge and understanding of proper sequencing of tasks.

Demonstrates an understanding of component interface relationships.

Make quality assurance checks on work performed.

Meets standard production requirements and records the number of parts completed daily.

Picks up parts to be assembled from storage shelf.


OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

Cleans firearms after testing and prepares for packaging.

Performs disassembly of non-conforming parts/sub-assemblies.

Performs frequency defined inspections per procedure.

Performs other duties as assigned.


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work is performed while standing for the duration of the 8-10 hour shift.

Requires lifting up to 25 pounds.

Personal safety protective equipment as required.


QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:

Performance of duties requires manual dexterity and making hand and arm movements such as grasping, pulling, pushing and wrist actions. Assembly of small components requires fine muscle coordination in the hands.

Make wrist, hand, and arm movements.

Properly sequence job tasks and meet standard production requirements while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Work in the same position for extended duration of time.

Coordinate eyes and hands in assembling parts and using hand tools.

Visual acuity for assembling small parts.

Move light objects short distances.

Remain alert while performing repetitive tasks.

Use a variety of hand tools and equipment in assembling and securing components.

None. On-the-job training is provided.
