Job Description
Conformal Coat operator, responsible for applying protective coatings to printed circuit assemblies and electronic components according to manufacturing specifications and quality standards. This position supports production schedules while maintaining product quality, safety and process compliance. Training will be provided for all required equipment and processes.
- Apply conformal coating to electronic assemblies using automated and manual coating equipment.
- Prepare assemblies for coating by masking and inspecting parts as required by work instructions.
- Remove masking materials following coating operations.
- Perform visual inspections to verify coating coverage, thickness and workmanship standards.
- Identify and report defects, process issues, or equipment concerns to leadership.
- Follow manufacturing work instructions, drawings, and process documentation.
- Support daily production goals while meeting quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Participate in continuous improvement and team activities.
- Comply with all company safety, quality and environmental requirements.
Typical Education and Experience
Typically a High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn coating processes, equipment operation and inspection requirements.
- Consistent attendnace and reliability.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills and Education
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with electronic assemblies or printed circuit cards
- Familiarity with manufacturing documentation and quality standards
- Experience with inspection equipment or manufacturing processes
