JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

The Assembler is primarily responsible for sub-assembling smaller parts. This includes reviewing the work order for material availability. 

Essential Job Responsibilities  

· Locate job and compare with picking sheet

· Review picking sheet for special instructions

· Review drawings for part assembly

· Gather materials to assemble parts

· Assemble parts

· Inspect parts for final assembly

· Sign off on production and picking sheet

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities 

· Ability to read and interpret shop drawings

· Basic math knowledge which includes the use of measuring tools

Competency

· Ability to work in an environment that produces excellent quality and quantity work

· Ability to organize and prioritize jobs

· Ability to communicate – clearly and comprehensively

Requirements

Working Conditions 

Physical Requirements

· Able to push, carry, lift, and move materials up to 40 pounds.

· Able to walk across a production facility.

Work Environment 

· Typical production environment.

· Willing and able to work additional hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are met.

Minimum Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED

· Prior experience in assembly and reading shop prints

· Familiar with power tools and hand tools

· Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
