Job Overview:
Responsibilities
- Prepare work by reviewing assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists; gathering necessary parts, tools, and materials.
- Position parts and subassemblies using templates and measurement tools.
- Assemble components by ensuring proper fit and securing parts and subassemblies.
- Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues; communicate with supervision as needed.
- Maintain equipment by performing preventive maintenance and addressing minor malfunctions.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure necessary supplies are available.
- Use materials and equipment efficiently to minimize waste.
- Complete required production and quality documentation.
- Support team objectives and assist in other areas as needed.
- Adhere to all workplace safety standards and guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate across departments.
- Ability to follow instructions and execute tasks efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Good hand and finger dexterity.
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and torque specifications.
- Experience working in a technical or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Experience with electrical or mechanical assembly is a plus.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
