Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Assemble, install parts and labels and test final products under direct supervision and instruction of Supervisor or Lead Assembler in accordance with Company procedures and the APSCO Quality Manual.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assemble various parts per work orders and work instructions to make final product.
  • Physically move parts into or out of Assembly area as directed by Supervisor.
  • Place labels on products and boxes.
  • Make up boxes for products.
  • Test assembled products.
  • Operate various hand tools.
  • Work independently.
  • Keep area organized and clean.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE: None Required – Will Train

Must be able to:

  • work overtime and Saturdays as required
  • work under pressure/time deadlines
  • carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions
  • perform job functions with limited supervision

TRAVEL: None – 0%

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to:

  • perform moderately heavy physical work with routine physical activity
  • wear required and provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety shoes and glasses and hearing protection (in designated areas)
  • stand approximately 90% and walk 10% of work hours
  • routinely lift up to 40 pounds and move up to 50 pounds throughout the facility
  • bend, stoop and maneuver around obstacles
  • comply with the Company’s drug-free workplace policy
  • use excellent eye-hand coordination and excellent visual acuity for near seeing
  • tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, noise, temperature and other elements in the assembly and shop areas
