We are seeking a knowledgeable Assembler to join our team at Glenn Metalcraft Inc. The Assembler prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists and assembling parts as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble cones and other products at a daily rate with accuracy and consistency
• Pick all components needed and transfer parts
• Report on issues, defects, and malfunctions
• Use power tools and overhead cranes to handle oversized parts
• Be a team player and help in other departments as needed
• Assist Production Supervisor with projects or tasks as needed
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
Skills and Competencies
• Manufacturing experience a plus
• Comfortability with power tools
• Ability to twist, bend, push, pull and lift to 40 pounds consistently
• Experience with inspection equipment a plus
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
• Excellent hand/eye coordination
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools
• Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
• Consistently wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to work in production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels
