Job Summary/Objective of Job

The Heavy-Duty Remanufacturing Assembler is responsible for assembling, disassembling, and reconditioning heavy-duty truck parts and components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow technical instructions and safety protocols to ensure high-quality remanufactured products.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Assembly and Disassembly: Assemble and disassemble heavy-duty truck parts and components according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect parts for wear and damage, perform tests to ensure functionality, and identify parts that need repair or replacement.
  • Reconditioning: Clean, repair, and recondition parts using appropriate tools and techniques to restore them to operational condition.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on assembled and reconditioned parts to ensure they meet industry standards and company specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, repairs made, and tests conducted.
  • Tool Maintenance: Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly or a similar role, preferably in the heavy-duty truck parts industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good physical stamina and dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Standing and Walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking around the work area.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Frequently lifting and carrying heavy parts and components, often weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
