Job Summary:
Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce door lights, window lights and other products for the home building industry.

What you'll do:
- Places parts (e.g., spacers, glass, frames, blinds, muntins) in specified relationship to each other according to work instructions and quality standards.
- Clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together using hands or tools such as glue and screw guns.
- Tends machines (loading, off-loading and operating), such as glass washer and motoman (includes loading plate glass).
- Packs parts for shipment.
- Works at different work stations as production needs and rotation require.
- Works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.
What you'll need:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence/postings, labels and production schedules. Ability to write simple sentences and complete forms/requests for information.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple multi-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Examples would include judging quality defects, how to set up work and determining the cause of a problem.
- Actions and results are closely prescribed by work instructions/structure of work. Little or no opportunity to make independent decisions. Most/all actions regularly checked by others.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight, measurement, quantity, volume, and distance. Examples would include reading a tape measure, tracking production and scrap, counting parts in a box.
- The employee is required to stand for long periods of time, repeatedly bend and reach, and use hands to manipulate tools and parts. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
