Position Summary:

The Assembler plays a pivotal role in the efficient functioning of production operations. This encompasses all assembly responsibilities and functions. This individual should showcase a high level of expertise, possess strong attention to detail, and contribute to fostering an organized and streamlined production environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

1. Assembly

• Execute assembly tasks following detailed instructions.
• Utilize tools and other equipment to assemble components to meet quality standards.
• Perform quality checks on assembled products to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Ability to tear down a replenish assembly line components as required by BOMs.

2. Quality Control and Safety Compliance:

• Conduct thorough inspections of both assembled components, cut lenses, and orders to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Document any defects or deviations and report them to the leadership.
• Adhere to safety protocols while performing tasks.
• Contribute to maintaining an organized and clean operations environment.

3. Team Collaboration, Training, and Skill Development:

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operational workflows.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and leadership to address challenges and meet deadlines.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills.
• Seek opportunities for continuous improvement and skill development within the operations team.

4. Equipment Operation:

• Safely operate production equipment such as lens cutting machines, forklifts, ladders, pallet jacks, etc.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to a collaborative work culture.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of previous experience in production.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Physical agility to operate equipment.
