Description

As an Assembler at United Safety, you will:

Assemble units within the timeline set, while using a variety of tools and equipment, following standardized sheets, drawings, samples and verbal instructions.
Focus and pay close attention to details throughout all stages of work to meet quality objectives and to eliminate scrap (waste)
Check your work, ensuring all aspects of the assembly are complete and correct.
Provide team with sufficient information and support to accomplish team goals.
Maintain an organized and clean workstation and help maintain the rest of the facility as well.
Work with team and work positively with others to provide any assistance to any area and/or department required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

You’re a great fit for this position if this describes you;

High school diploma OR equivalent including, relevant training, such as shop class, blueprint reading, welding or machine shop.
Work well with your hands to build or repair objects, and you find it natural to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
Exceptional motor coordination and can easily use a variety of tools in a safe manner.
Able to follow verbal and written instructions, directions and other communication in English.
Experience with reading, comprehending and interpreting drawings and blue prints.
Able to perform basic shop math (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, measuring and converting decimals).
Able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for up to 12 hours per day when necessary.
Able to stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
Able to perform in a fast-paced, team environment, while responding and adapting to change.
You bring with you a positive attitude and the ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
Understanding that you are part of a growing company, you have no concerns with and able to work extended hours/over-time as needed as well as some Saturdays to support that growth.
