Description

As an Assembler at United Safety, you will:

  • Assemble units within the timeline set, while using a variety of tools and equipment, following standardized sheets, drawings, samples and verbal instructions.
  • Focus and pay close attention to details throughout all stages of work to meet quality objectives and to eliminate scrap (waste)
  • Check your work, ensuring all aspects of the assembly are complete and correct.
  • Provide team with sufficient information and support to accomplish team goals.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workstation and help maintain the rest of the facility as well.
  • Work with team and work positively with others to provide any assistance to any area and/or department required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 

Requirements

You’re a great fit for this position if this describes you;

  • High school diploma OR equivalent including, relevant training, such as shop class, blueprint reading, welding or machine shop.
  • Work well with your hands to build or repair objects, and you find it natural to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
  • Exceptional motor coordination and can easily use a variety of tools in a safe manner.
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions, directions and other communication in English.
  • Experience with reading, comprehending and interpreting drawings and blue prints.
  • Able to perform basic shop math (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, measuring and converting decimals).
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for up to 12 hours per day when necessary.
  • Able to stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced, team environment, while responding and adapting to change.
  • You bring with you a positive attitude and the ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
  • Understanding that you are part of a growing company, you have no concerns with and able to work extended hours/over-time as needed as well as some Saturdays to support that growth.
