In a manufacturing team environment, assembles printed circuit boards, electronic components, subassemblies, or systems using a variety of materials, tools and documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads and performs assigned tasks in accordance with manufacturing process instructions (MPIs), production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions
- Performs assigned work within defined labor standards, stated production schedules, and corporate quality goals
- Follows proper Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures at all times and is knowledgeable of and performs job in accordance with proper material handling procedures and guidelines
- The employee shall be knowledgeable of and perform job functions in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
- Creation has established metrics with job performance goals and objectives
- The employee shall understand the metrics that apply to his or her job and understand how they contribute to the overall corporate objectives
- Performs complex tasks in accordance with manufacturing process instructions (MPIs), production drawings, customer provided documentation, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions
- Machine Operation duties: Set up all machines properly according to setup instructions. Operates all machines correctly, efficiently and within quality standards. Set up machine for production. Fully understands supporting documentation such as MPI’s, deviations, etc. Perform data Entry. Performs change-over and tear down processes. Perform routine maintenance on all machines Maintain products and communication log. Performs machine operator duties as needed in all areas of production.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Component identification skills for both PTH and SMT components, including polarity, are required
- Familiarity with use of calibrated tools used for assembly, measurement and verification, such as pneumatic power tools, torque drivers or critical measurement tools such as calipers and pin or hole gauges is required
- Soldering skills to perform all plated through-hole tasks and basic installation or touch up of surface mount components are required for this position
- Knowledge of rework techniques for PTH assemblies is required
- Working knowledge of IPC A-610 specifications is required
- Ability to perform simple computer related tasks such as data entry, look up information related to job tasks, and email
- This position requires good manual dexterity, good vision and the ability to stay seated for long periods of time
- Must possess the ability to read and speak English to comprehend moderately complex written and verbal instruction
- Must have the ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers
- Have some understanding of basic metric measurements and tolerances as they apply to dimensional measurements of manufacturing processes and drawings
- Ability to apply common sense and good judgment to carry out detailed, moderately complex written or verbal instructions
- Preferred: Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is $22 - $23 per hour. Full-time employees are also eligible for benefits and performance-based bonuses. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift.
