Job Summary:
A general production operator manufactures or assembles to ensure efficient operation, quality, and timely completion of products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate nut guns, pop rivet gun, bolt guns, screw gun, air ratchets, and torque wrenches to perform various assembly jobs
- Read blueprints and work instructions
- Input correct programs for machines
- Operate machines (Laser, Brake Press, NC Machine, Paint Boot, etc.)
- Load/unload material
- Grinds out burrs and sharp edges from each part
- Assist in applying glue or silicone to parts
- Performs quality checks
- Willingness to assist in other areas as needed
Job Qualifications (Required)
- At least 18 years of age (required at all locations)
- Reliable transportation
Job Qualifications (Preferred):
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Use of hand tools
Physical Requirements of the Job:
- Frequent walking, standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and lifting for 8-12 hours per day
- Able to work in non-climate-controlled and noisy environment
- Frequent overhead reaching and reaching with both hands
- Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or maneuvering loads up to 50 lbs
- Able to wear and tolerate Personal Protective Equipment (apparel and devices)
- Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materials
- Reliable to come to work every day and be on-time
- Flexible work availability, including Overtime during the week and weekends
- Ability to use a respirator (for specific operations)
