Job Overview:

Job Summary:

 

Perform activities associated with supporting the inventory management, receipt and shipment of materials, and overall orderliness of the three ARx warehouses.

 

Essential Functions:

 

General Responsibilities

  • Execute assigned responsibilities as directed and according to documented procedures.
  • Perform activities such as material handling, weighing, packing and other duties as directed.


 

  • Accurately and thoroughly fills out process-related paperwork including any batch documentation, truck inspections and chronologs.
  • Works safely; efficiently organizes work activities maintaining workflow and ensure availability and use of proper materials and tools.  Supports LEAN 6S activities as requested.
  • Complies with company policies, good housekeeping and safety regulations at all times.  Maintains a safe and clean work environment; identifies and corrects unsafe practices, conditions or acts. Wears proper PPE including safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
  • Carries out miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations.
  • Enter requisitions for materials/consumables as needed to support Operations and as directed by the Director of Operations.
  • Picks materials for jobs as requested for Operations to maintain schedule adherence.
  • Utilizes receiving transactions in Oracle for materials and consumables upon arrival, as needed and ensures material movements are captured in Oracle.

 

Warehousing Responsibilities

  • Receive trucks, unload and inspect merchandise per written procedures.  Ensures that incoming shipments meet ARx needs and quality standards; performs truck inspections and follows established procedures to properly label materials upon receipt.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to production or to other designated areas. Safely operates a forklift or pallet jack to load, unload and move items.
  • Perform in-process raw material sampling, inspection and testing as required per material specification or as directed.
  • Locate and stage raw materials required for all production areas per approved Pick Lists.
  • Perform packing and shipping of commercial and developmental materials in accordance to established Packing Procedures as needed.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing or shipping as needed.
  • Ensures materials are stored in appropriate locations according to established procedures (Quarantine, QA Hold, Reject).  Ensures material containing artwork is in locked locations.
  • Understands DOT requirements for shipping.
  • Understands chemical storage requirements as well has hazardous waste requirements and ensures materials are managed per these requirements.
  • Follows scrap procedures in a timely manner according to MRB requests.
  • Documents warehousing tasks in proper chronologs in each warehouse and completes safety tasks for forklifts.

 

Inventory Control Responsibilities

  • Support the Inventory Control Specialist in Inventory Management tasks such as WIP and material movements to sub-inventories.
  • Ensure inventory level of consumable items is appropriate and works with the Supply Chain Specialist and the Inventory Control Specialist to order all materials and supplies for ARx operations.
  • Support all annual physical inventory activities and cycle counts as needed.
  • Support waste management including scrap activities.

 


 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned, to include but not limited to:

  • Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness through 6S implementation and efforts.
  • Assisting in deviation investigations and internal audit reports.
  • Making improvement suggestions; providing feedback on procedures and practices.

 

 

Job Specifications:

 

  • Requires minimum of a high school education.
  • Ability to comprehend and reliably follow written procedures (batch records, operating procedures, protocols, etc.) and verbal instructions.  Attentive to details and capable of error-free procedural implementation.
  • Ability to work with numbers consistently and accurately; able to accurately read and perform numerical calculations, including rounding.  Understanding of significant digits is required.  Ability to calculate and round to required significant figures.  
  • Ability to maintain flexibility in schedule and in response to production schedule changes.
  • Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, and irritant chemicals; will be required to use personal protective equipment such as full-face masks, gowning, hairnets, gloves, safety glasses/goggles, shields, etc.
  • Physical exertion such as long periods of standing, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities should be expected; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items (objects 50-100 pounds); constant manipulation of utensils for weighing of components requires common physical characteristics and abilities.
