The Area Mech Welder II is responsible for welding repairs across the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort Property. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.
The pay rate for this role in Florida is $39.38 per hour.

Schedule Availability:Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Schedules and start times are subject to vary.

Basic Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- 5 years’ of welding experience
- Perform the following types of welding processes
- GTAW(TIG) - 6G Position with multiple materials
- SMAW(Stick) - 6G Position with multiple materials
- FCAW(Flux Core) –1G, 2G, 3G and 4G Position with multiple materials
- GMAW(MIG) – 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G Position with multiple materials
- Proficient at the following activities
- Weld Safety Practices including Weld Fume Mitigation
- Weld Procedure Specification (WPS) Knowledge
- Demonstrate blue print reading skills including weld symbols
- Fixture design and fabrication
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
Responsibilities
- Maintain a minimum of four certifications annually
- Daily work using metals, mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminum
- Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
