ARCHITECTURAL & COMMERCIAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Summary

We are seeking a "Highly Motivated" Architectural Sales Representative that excels in marketing, presenting, and selling products and services primarily to Architects, Designers, Contractors, and Developers. The successful candidate will have 6-9 months of extensive paid training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

·         Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, builders, and owners.

·         Provide product specifications, technical information, samples, and design assistance to support proper product selection based on project needs.

·         Identify sales opportunities, present solutions, prepare quotes, negotiate contracts, and work toward achieving sales goals.

·         Conduct educational presentations and product demonstrations at jobsites, firm locations, marketing events, and on social media platforms, including Lunch and Learns and other training sessions.

·         Represent Acme Brick and its vendor partners professionally in individual, group, and jobsite presentations.

·         Track projects from early design through completion to influence specifications and ensure product inclusion.

·         Maintain organized and up‑to‑date sample libraries and product information for use both in-house and within design firms.

·         Participate in job tracking, CRM systems, and reporting processes as directed by leadership.

·         Engage actively in industry organizations, trade shows, and professional associations (e.g., AIA, CSI) to strengthen visibility and stay informed on codes, trends, and design practices.

·         Collaborate with internal departments—including manufacturing, sales, and customer support—to ensure smooth project execution and resolve post‑sale issues.

·         Work and travel independently to meet with clients, attend events, and support market development efforts.

·         Assess commercial market trends and maintain a strong industry presence to strategically introduce new materials and professionally promote Acme products.

 

Skills and Experience Required for Success

·         Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.

·         Solid knowledge of building materials and construction methods is preferred.

·         Proficiency with CRM and sales reporting tools; experience with ConstructConnect and Zoho is beneficial.

·         Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and able to manage time and responsibilities independently.

·         1+ years of outside sales experience (brick sales preferred).

·         Experience in the design industry is a plus.

·         Spanish language proficiency is beneficial.

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.

·         Effective presentation skills for engaging both small and large groups.

·         Ability to quickly learn and retain detailed product information.

·         Commitment to attending industry events and meetings, including after‑hours and out‑of‑town travel.

·         Consistent and dependable transportation is essential for success.

·         Social Media skills are a plus

Education

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred or 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
