Wolter, Inc., a leader in the material handling industry, is seeking an Apprentice Technician to assist with service to our customers! Apprentice Technicians are responsible for shadowing Journeyman Shop Technicians to learn the skills and requirements for becoming a journeyman repair technician. Apprentice Technicians learn to properly diagnose and repair material handling equipment brought into our shop for repair – meeting and exceeding customer’s expectations. These positions are based out of our Indianapolis facility.
To be successful, an Apprentice must have strong mechanical aptitude, good troubleshooting, customer service, and time management skills and be dependable. Must complete any technical training courses required, must have basic computer proficiency and laptop fundamentals, own tools necessary to perform repairs, per our recommended tool list, and must be certified to operate material handling equipment (we will provide this certification). Must be able to push, pull and carry up to 60 lbs. and pass a pre-placement drug test.
